Salem Housing Authority

The Salem Housing Authority is seeking a motivated full-time maintenance employee to perform a variety of moderately skilled maintenance, custodial, groundskeeping, and repair duties throughout SHA properties.

Responsibilities include:

  • Apartment turnovers and painting, wall and ceiling repairs
  • Groundskeeping and snow removal
  • Cleaning and trash removal
  • Minor carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work
  • Assisting maintenance mechanics and trades staff
  • On-call emergency response on a rotating schedule

Qualified applicants must possess:

  • Valid Massachusetts driver’s license
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs.

Salary: $35.18/hour (Current DLS Labor Rate effective 4/1/2026)
