Salem Housing Authority (SHA). Salem, Massachusetts is a community with many resources and services available. Located north of Boston with convenient public transportation, this small city has much to offer. Parks, beaches, shopping, museums, history, municipal and court offices, and more—Salem is a vibrant, diverse community full of opportunity.

This website will familiarize prospective tenants with the SHA, its facilities, operations, services, and programs, as well as applications and eligibility. We think you will find living in our community rewarding.

The SHA was formed in 1948 and prides itself on its long history of providing decent, safe, and sanitary affordable housing. We serve low-income elderly, families, and disabled/handicapped people. It is the policy of the SHA to comply fully with all federal, state, and local nondiscrimination laws and rules and regulations governing Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity.
