Hours: 12 hours per week
Duration/Pay: The Salem Pantry offers both semester and year-long internships. Paid stipends may be available for certain internship opportunities.

The Salem Pantry provides the North Shore with convenient access to fresh, free, healthy food. Our innovative mobile pantries, home deliveries, and The Market offer an abundant selection of produce, proteins, spices, and dairy products. We partner with local farmers and health organizations to nourish our community from the inside out.

Overview

The Salem Pantry is seeking a dedicated and creative Fall Marketing Intern to join our dynamic Marketing Department. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of non-profit marketing while contributing to our mission of ensuring the essential right to convenient and reliable access to healthy food.

Responsibilities

Marketing Support (4.5 Hours/Week):

  • Assist in the creation and distribution of email marketing campaigns.
  • Help manage and curate content for social media platforms, ensuring consistent branding and messaging.
  • Support donor campaigns by creating compelling content and communications.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications Manager on various projects to enhance the online presence and engagement of The Salem Pantry.

Project Work – The Guest Voice Project (4.5 Hours/Week):

  • Conduct in-depth interviews with three guests of The Salem Pantry.
  • Gather and analyze insights from these interviews to understand their experiences and needs.
  • Create a series of content pieces based on the interviews for different audiences, including blog posts, social media stories, and newsletter features.

Support the Programs Team at The Market (3 Hours/Week):

  • Assist with the setup and operation of The Market.
